Freelance Translation Listing & Matching

Casavaria's Freelance Translation listing and matching service is designed to facilitate encounters between translators and those seeking their services. There is no guaranteed pay, fee, commission, or contract, for translators who register to be listed with Casavaria.

All translators listed agree to pay 20% of final contract amount to Casavaria, though listing itself is free of charge. Casavaria is not responsible for the performance of any party using the service, though any party availing itself of a translator's services will be expected to pay Casavaria the full amount of any translation contract upon completion.

All parties registering their services or their job offerings with Casavaria implicitly agree that their statements, references, experience, fees, offerings and promised compensation are truthful and legitimate in every sense. No services may be retained through Casavaria for any purpose that would violate the laws, statutes and/or treaties of the United States or any of its states.

Casavaria reserves the right to change its policies, pricing, or publication privileges, but will abide by any terms as set forth at the time of specific contracting of services.

In-House Literary Translations

The primary aim of Casavaria Translation Services is to supplement the literary and artistic project of the site. In select cases, original literary works may be chosen for translation and further distribution in a second language, or in bilingual editions, according to the nature and style of the work and its compatibility with the online environment being built at Casavaria.com in that language.

For these translations, Casavaria will contract its own team of translators, writers and editors to create the new version of the work in the chosen language. The translators will retain shared copyright over the translated text, along with the author, though publication is subject to the approval of the author. Each individual case will be contracted with the author in question, with royalties, fees, republication rights and print-runs being decided on a case-by-case basis.

Further Translation Questions

Further translation services for a specified fee will also be available as the scope and capacity of Casavaria's translation project grow over time. For questions, please contact Casavaria directly at: translate@casavaria.com

All copyright protections apply, but the work in translation (the translation itself) is a shared creation of the author and of the translator who worked to create the new document. Royalties would be negotiated according to that shared authorship. Fees for services rendered would depend upon the complexity, length, and nature of the work translated.
