BEIJING OLYMPICS BESET BY POLITICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL WOES
Is Beijing ready to host a meaningful Olympic Games? Current TV's 'InfoMania' asks this question, and demonstrates with a series of major news stories and brewing international scandals that China's government has is using authoritarian crackdowns to make it appear as if China meets international standards for public health, political freedom, and social harmony. In fact, there's a massive effort to hide the face of modern China with the whole world watching.
The air in Beijing is so polluted that the IOC has expressed concerns athletes may be unable to breathe, may suffer adverse health consequences if forced to compete outdoors. There is talk of postponing some events or hosting them elswhere. Chinese authorities may close factories around the capital for as long as 2 months in an effort to clean smog from the air.

Sentido anticipates increasing convergence between moving and broadcast media and the static, readable internet. It is with this in mind that we have begun planning the launch of a "Sentido TV" digital platform for online posting and reader download of moving news footage and reporting.

Sentido's aim to extend its service into broadcast format multimedia stems from the belief that information is valuable in itself and that providing information over multiple channels liberates the audience that consumes such information. Sentido will not reduce its textual offerings, but will provide enhanced complementary audio-visual coverage of key stories.
