To start a serious process of transition to a clean, green energy economy, based on expandable renewable resources with little to no negative impact on natural systems or the broader environment, we need to make available those resources that will allow us to reduce demand for oil. That reduced demand will parallel the shift in demand to other resources which fit more readily into the rhythms and preferences of a more informed, more sustainable, environmentally responsible society.

Cost may help to drive this transition, as the price of crude oil escalates, shipping flows are hampered by expanded demand for other resources, like food, water and construction materials, and more aggressive regulation makes the oil business more expensive for investors and producers.

One promising response to the cost crisis, which could have widespread economic fallout, across the world, will be to invest heavily, and ever moreso, in clean, renewable energy resources, building a new transport infrastructure. Doing so will build needed, long-term jobs into local economies, restoring communities, both rural and urban, and giving consumers more freedom in competing for resources.

Explore here the methods and technologies that will allow us to rapidly expand clean energy sources, and clean-energy transport, to speed the transition to a sustainable future…

Increasing supply of clean energy resources will help the wider economy transition away from carbon-based fuels. A heavy investment in clean energy production in the Gulf of Mexico and along the Gulf coast would create tens of thousands of new jobs and spur economic recovery, in ways the drilling industry simply cannot.
