How much fuel is required to fully charge the batteries? This number alone will determine miles per gallon. In order to achieve 230 mpg 22.2 oz of fuel must fully charge the batteries. If this is a true number the mpg city and hwy would be the same. Why does hwy drop by 130 mpg? And you can be sure they are counting the first 40 of the miles as free.
