El cuarto número de la revista Naufragios ya está disponible en la nueva URL www.RevistaNaufragios.com. Es la edición del invierno de 2010-2011, e incluye una selección especial de poetas de Bolivia, contribuciones del taller literario Pinzon 9, de Villanova University, el grupo que edita la revista, y otros poetas invitados de varios países. Hay ficción nueva, ensayos y estudios académicos, y arte visual, como siempre.

Cada invierno y verano Víctor Hugo Cárdenas, el poeta y profesor chilote, asentado desde hace un par de décadas en Villa Francia, Comuna de Estación Central, Santiago, regresa a Chiloé, a Castro, a Nercón y a los amigos de su barrio y su pueblo natal. Es decir, a los lugares y personas enraizados en lo más hondo de su ser y su poesía. A los quince años (1977), cuando ya mostraba talante y talento en las reuniones de Aumen, publica una pequeña edición de El juego de la oca. En 1985 publica Treca treca peñi, del que poco se ha dicho y escrito pese a ser uno de los libros fundacionales de lo que se conoce como poesía etnocultural del sur de Chile, particularmente de aquélla que trata los temas mapuche/huilliche, tan comentada, traducida y antologada en Chile y en el extranjero durante la última década. Las dalcas sobre la arena (2002) y El eco de los trieles (2005) continúan retratando y cantando la memoria de un Chiloé vivo y revivido en los versos de este poeta a quien, como a Unamuno, “le duele hondamente su tierra.”

La costumbre de mirarnos fijamente (2005) es un libro mayor de Víctor Hugo Cárdenas. Libro mayor, por su volumen [167 poemas de variada extensión agrupados en dos secciones, “Escritura en los huesos” (124 poemas) y “Respirando la aldea” (63 poemas)]; por la madurez que ha adquirido su lenguaje poético; por la variedad de tonos y temas (el vacío, el dolor, la esperanza y la desesperanza, la poesía, el amor, el desamor y el dolor del amor, entre muchos otros), y porque aunque se trata de un solo libro dividido en dos partes, este poemario puede ser leído como dos libros o incluso tres libros diferentes dependiendo del ojo del lector.

El grupo del taller literario Pinzón 9, en Villanova University, ha publicado el tercer número de su revista literaria Naufragios. El número 1 del segundo volumen de la revista se dedica principalmente a los partícipes del Festival de Poesía en Villanova, que ocupó 3 días desde el 25 hasta el 27 de marzo en el campus de la universidad.

El festival junto a 18 poetas de 10 países, y a una comunidad de académicos, músicos y aficionados, para mostrar la capacidad de la poesía de crear enlaces y puentes entre gente de todo el mundo y entre épocas, generaciones y culturas. Los poetas cuya obra se reune en la tercera edición de Naufragios también publicaron sus obras en una antología del festival que se repartió durante el festival.

La segunda edición de la revista Naufragios, del grupo Taller Literario Pinzón Nueve, de Villanova University, se estrenó esta semana. Recoge otra vez contribuciones de muchos países, en literatura, crítica y arte visual. Abarca textos de poesía, cuento, ensayo y entrevista, con una infusión rica de pintura y fotografía.

Además de obras de los integrantes del taller literario —incluidos Carlos Trujillo, María Elena Arias-Zelidón, Silvino Edward Díaz Burns, Rodolfo Figueroa, Andrés González Sánchez, Magnolia Pérez Garrido, Salvatore Poeta, Joseph Robertson, Carolina Yancovic—, cuenta con la colaboración de escritores y artistas de once países.

Creative writing is part of the work of any writer. Finding the best way to put two words, then three, then four and ten, together, is the basic metabolic process of creating any text. And it requires a vision and an application of that vision.

Publishing models determine which texts are made available to a wide audience, and by what means. New media, like this social network, are providing new opportunities, but the crossover between print and digital media will provide bold new opportunities for making the best new ideas available to the people who can do the most with them.
